'Gonnère' is the most striking white waterlily available, with large, fully-double, snow-white flowers (hence its alternative commercial name, 'Snowball'). The flowers are produced in large numbers and contrast pleasantly with the apple-green leaves. The plant itself is reliable, easy to grow and has a nice compact spread, making it excellent for almost any size of pond. A very sought-after lily - so good it was given the Award Of Garden Merit (AGM) by the Royal Horticultural Society.
